Enrichment Series

Throughout each day, as we progress through this interesting tunnel of motherhood, there are times that we really, REALLY need to rely on a reserve. A place of quiet peacefulness that we can retreat into when times get challenging. As refreshing as dipping into a cool tide pool after baking in the hot sunlight for hours. When we have this inner reserve, our patience grows, our perspectives shift, and we can practice mindfulness. When we parent mindfully, we have deeper and richer connections with our children. We feel present and attentive. We start to have more intuitive relationships that feel more harmonious. It feels completely magical.

We like to call this reserve Enrichments.

Enrichments are the parts of your life that add real depth and meaning. Parts that give you energy and vibrance. From the large parts that define who you are as a Woman and a Mother to the smaller parts that simply  fill your soul with effervescent light. They make life seem lighter, brighter, and purposeful.

In the Oxford Dictionary you will find the definition of enrichment as 

  1. the action of improving or enhancing the quality or value of something.
  2. the process of making someone wealthy or wealthier.

We believe that the enrichment series will deliver both definitions. We wish to enhance the quality and value of the lives of Mothers and we want to give you a wealth of knowledge to keep in your reserve. We want to assemble a tribe of Mothers who believe in honesty, encouragement, inspiration, empowerment, and community. An online space for Mothers to dwell & revitalize with insights to help them live their most vibrant life. To go from surviving Motherhood to thriving in Motherhood. We can all attest to how taxing Motherhood can be, albeit each perspective stemming from one’s own unique circumstance.  Although there appears to be a drought of helpful, informative, and inspirational content online for Mothers (statistically true) there is a small underground network of bloggers that aim for truth and encouragement. 

Mothers tend to be the default work horses of every society often resulting in personal neglect of physical, mental, and emotional health. We would like to offer an alternative narrative. As the backbone of our society, it is vital that we seek balance in ourselves. Because we absolutely deserve it. Additionally, in order to change the future, we must start with our children. And it is hard to tend to a garden when your watering can is running dry. In other words, to collectively change the future, we as Mothers, must tend to ourselves.

The first of the Enrichment Series will focus on the things that we do for ourselves, by ourselves, to give our nervous system the break(s) that it desperately needs. The amount of mental workload required of Mothers can and will feel completely  overwhelming if we are running on an empty reserve. These self enrichment practices help reset an overactive mind. They can help us keep our cool when our children are spinning out of control. They can give us pause, relaxation, and revitalization. And they are absolutely worth building into your routine (and into your reserve) to enhance the quality of your life as well as the well being of our children. There are 4 enrichments that we believe are so valuable to your peace of mind, that we have labeled them “core enrichments”. If you have time for nothing else, we think that practicing these four core enrichments will really make an impactful difference in your life and the journey of Motherhood.
